About

Lindsey Kraft is known for her television roles in Netflix’s Grace and Frankie, HBO’s Getting On, and most recently Netflix’s Obliterated (among others). She is currently workshopping a one-woman musical about one woman, who as a 40-year-old, learns to play piano because she has songs in her head that need to get out. They’re out now! And they make up that one-woman musical she dreamed into being.

After a 2-year stint sharing her songs and stories for thousands in the US, she has accidentally become a formidable piano player and singer, powered by the honesty of writing out of necessity - to survive.

The Houston Press writes “As she works through the songs, a tale unfolds in acts, so her set is constructed like a highly entertaining, very satisfying, one-woman mini-musical. We’re super eager to see her give it life as a proper musical some day or at least hold out for a recorded album of the funny, tender, deeply personal songs.”

DC Music Review said her performance was glowing, praising her as transfixing, witty, and sincerely funny and sad, with brilliant piano playing.

Her songs have inspired lines of new fans after each show, whose reviews are the only reviews she says she cares about. Here are some of them!

“You just told MY story about me and my dad.”

“I never heard of you before tonight, and now you’re the only thing that matters.”

“After your show tonight, I’m going to get out of a toxic friendship that I should have years ago.”

“Thank you for sharing your beautiful gift with a father and his daughter where it felt like the room disappeared and you sang just to us! Keep writing. Keep playing. Keep singing.”

Lindsey likes Carly Simon, Carole King, Billy Joel, Bette Midler, Randy Newman, and Broadway music (“but like, only the good shows”) She also loves vintage clothing shops and despises dishonesty.
